Meridien predicts significant further market consolidation among
suppliers as financial institutions' spending increases flatten
through 2003. Global retail CRM spending in 2002 will stay
essentially level compared to 2001 at US$6.7 billion, with no

Launches Management Services For Customer Relationship Management

introduced a managed customer relationship management (CRM) service
to help accelerate and reduce the risk of CRM deployment at
mid-to-large size enterprises. The new offering -- called IBM CRM
Management Services -- will address a worldwide market for CRM
operations management that is expected to grow to $82.7 billion in
2005 (IDC, June 2001).

Dataquest Says CRM Software Vendors Are Struggling Through Difficult

Gartner's
high-tech research arm, Dataquest, predicted that total CRM software
revenue for 2001 will grow 8 percent to US$3.6 billion from year
2000 levels. Last year, revenue leaped 89 percent from 1999 levels,
according to Dataquest. Dataquest also projected that growth will
remain flat in 2002, with new license revenue again totaling $3.6
billion. By 2003, it expects the CRM software market to grow 10
percent to $4 billion.
